From 4-6pm on Monday, registration will be located just outside the Expo on the convention center's 2nd floor. If you miss this opportunity, you can still go directly to the Welcome Reception (in the Chaparral Room on the 38th floor of the hotel) from 7-9pm on Monday and get your name badge as you enter. Enjoy the reception and get your bag & swag on your way back out the door!

Residents generally don't love paying higher taxes. So how do we help voters understand the value in a tax increase without violating legal boundaries of educating versus advocating?! We'll explain the approach that the Johnson County, Kansas public information office took to using Facebook, Twitter and Nextdoor to educate voters about a 1/4-cent sales tax increase, which passed in Nov. 2016. Learn from our education campaign's challenges and successes to improve yours.
